The empanada making machine is developed in collaboration with a company in Madrid to cut, moisten and fill the empanadas.
functionality
The system consists of a conveyor belt that flattens a ball and delivers a disc of dough.
A specific sensor detects the position of the patty and stops the belt.
A linear actuator with integrated controller and force control lowers the tool to cut the excess edges of the dough.
The tool has 3 functionalities:
- Cut off excess dough.
- Moisten the edges of the dough with a sponge system and timed water pumping. (To prevent the empanada from opening during the baking process.
- Filling with any type of food through a double piston solids dispenser.
Control
The control system consists of a fully configurable, operator-friendly touch screen.
In this screen you can modify all the parameters related to production, to adapt the process to the different operators and to the reality of each type of pie, for example:
- Pump running time per cycle
- Number of actual cycles for pump cycle
- Belt stop time after detection
- Time before dosing
- Time after dosing:
The individual operation of all integrations can also be operated via the touch screen.
